Findings & Research
Past Participant Council
Past participant councils play a vital role in the ongoing refinement of the survey instrument and its applications. Alumni relations leaders from universities that have previously undertaken the Survey are encouraged to share their stories and ‘best practices’ on how the AAS improved their relationship with alumni
This online/phone presentation is provided at no cost and is intended to help you and others on your staff become familiar with alumni attitude norms for programs and services, on communication issues, and insights on propensity to participate/give. This presentation will be an ideal time to dust off your report and take a fresh look at the findings and compare them to the newly developed norms for small, mid-sized and large universities.
First, we are drafting articles about the Study for school (alumni) magazines that include key findings and selected charts from the actual survey process. As part of the process of preparing the articles, we interview selected staff members that are directly involved with initiatives stemming from the Study results (as appropriate), which also provides insight for mentioning the initiatives as being directly responsive to what the alumni said. This is an excellent way to further implement the Alumni Partnership Model© by showing that you heard what they said and that you are taking action based on what you heard. Additionally, this is a great way to better understand ways to take action on the survey findings and gain insight from PEG about additional ways to bring the survey to actionable results.
