Your Alumni Survey

Basic Survey and Options

The AAS created its well-designed and highly-tested base survey specifically to reveal alumni attitudes on:

  • Loyalty to alma mater
  • Experience as an alumnus/a
  • Experience as a student
  • Overall opinion of the institution
  • The effectiveness of communications to alumni
  • Alumni preferences for receiving communications
  • Alumni program preferences and exclusive services

When the original 13 alumni associations came together to develop a comprehensive method for gauging alumni attitudes, they committed to designing a cost-effective, easy-to-implement tool that universities could use again and again over the years.  The basic AAS survey module (used by more than 80% of first-time participant institutions) features questions dedicated to a myriad of alumni relations issues that institutions face.

Institutions that have participated on multiple occasions have asked for additional services beyond the basic survey module.  The AAS currently offers a full menu of add-on options and additional services to supplement your survey process.  These include executive summaries tailored to university presidents, alumni board members, and other administrators, as well as publication-ready articles for your association, marketing, or advancement magazine targeted at your members or your alumni in general.

We also offer multi-cohort survey options which include separate instruments aimed at different alumni segments.  This option allows you to address specific membership issues for current, lapsed, or never-members, as well as targeting high-value touch points that can positively affect engagement among these segments.
