The Survey Process
Survey Distribution Options
We have successfully surveyed the alumni of more than 90 different colleges and universities. For each client, we tailored the survey’s delivery to their distribution preferences and communications strategies. We allow you to choose any combination of four separate delivery formats -- mail, internet/email, personal interviews, and phone surveys -- to best match your requirements.
Using a combination of distribution methods allows us to minimize non-response and selection bias, and maximize insight into alumni perceptions within each specific alumni segment.
- A vital part of any successful survey is selecting a sample of participants that is both random and representative of the population at-large.
- Initially, we recommend distributing your customized survey by email to 5,000 randomly selected alumni. This usually generates 500-1000 responses, more than enough to ensure confident statistical analysis.
- While we recommend an initial distribution of 5000 randomly selected email addresses, we can expand the distribution to your entire database.
- We work with you to develop a well-stratified database that is representative of your alumni population.
Beyond this sample, the AAS offers you a variety of options to expand your distribution and, we can execute additional interviews for you, via print, email, or phone surveys.
